Landscape lighting is one of our favorite services to provide because the transformation is truly breathtaking. When the sun sets, a well-designed lighting system allows a whole new landscape to emerge, creating a dramatic impact that extends your enjoyment of the outdoors long into the night.

What a lighting system includes
A layout built for after dark
We plan lighting around what is worth looking at once the sun goes down. Trees, stone, water, and the path to the front door all read differently at night than they do at noon.
Uplighting on trees and features
Mature trees and boulder walls are usually the biggest payoff in a yard. Lighting them from below turns them into the structure of the night landscape.
Path and step lighting
Stairs, grade changes, and walkways get lit so people can move through the yard safely without the whole space looking like a parking lot.
Fixtures placed to hide the source
You should see the light, not the fixture. Aiming and shielding is most of the difference between a lit yard and a glare problem.
Sleeving run before hardscape closes up
When lighting is part of a larger build, we run conduit before the pavers and stone go down so nothing has to be cut open later.
Controls you will actually use
A system you have to think about is a system that ends up off. That is a large part of why we steer away from app-driven color-changing systems.
What lighting does to a Weber County yard
Most of the year here, you leave for work in the dark and get home in the dark. A yard with no lighting is a yard you only really see on weekends from roughly October through March. That is the honest argument for lighting, and it is why it is one of our favorite services to install: the change is immediate and it lands on the exact months when the landscape would otherwise be doing nothing for you. It also changes how the front of the house reads from the street, which matters if you have put real money into planting, stone, or a wall that currently goes invisible at five o'clock.

Common questions
Are the fixtures LED?
Yes, all of them. We install FX Luminaire fixtures and nothing else, chosen for their longevity and the manufacturer's warranty behind them. They are color matched across the whole range to a warm white, rather than the blue-white look you get from cheap online fixtures.
What kind of warranty is there?
The fixtures carry FX Luminaire's manufacturer warranty, and we have warrantied lights out under it. Ask us for the current term when you are choosing fixtures.
Will it raise my power bill much?
No. Every fixture is low-wattage LED, so a whole yard draws about what a single household bulb does. Jesse leaves his own on from dusk to dawn for security.
Do you service lighting systems you did not install?
No. We install, and we do not take on maintenance or repairs, including on systems another company put in.
