The completed Northwood Hills landscape, shown across the property's pathways, planting beds, and finished outdoor areas.
Northwood Hills is a tidy, tightly detailed front yard where the finish work is the whole story. The lawn is held against the planting beds with steel edging, which is what keeps the line between grass and rock crisp.
The beds are charcoal crushed rock rather than bark, which sets off the foliage. Shrubs with warm autumn color run the length of the fence line, and a block retaining wall handles the grade change at the back of the property.
Pathways connect the finished areas through the yard.
