Kent's Thoroughfare is planted for the long view. The beds are built around airy perennials, gaura and coreopsis among them, that move in wind and read soft against the hard edges of the house and its vinyl fencing.
Boulders are set through the beds as anchors, with young trees staked while they establish. Lawn runs alongside in clean curves, with planted bed taking the rest of the space.
