Foothill Lane is the clearest example of what metalwork adds to a yard. Curved weathering steel planters step through the yard, tiered at different heights and bent to a radius, planted with perennials and seasonal color that spill over the edges.
The planters sit in lawn, so the steel reads warm against the green, with flagstone and gravel handling the transitions. A wood fence and mature trees close the space, and lower planting and ornamental grasses fill in around the base of each planter.
